After 30 years of marriage, Claire is fed up with husband Jack’s unfaithfulness and decides to divorce. But she wants to find Jack the perfect woman first. With the help of her daughter, mother and friend who runs a dating agency, Claire finds that her plan takes on an unexpected twist.
The tranquil haven of AL’s Diner, harboring a scant collective of employees, patrons (including a hit man and his partner, a beautiful woman with a dark secret) and a devout Christian family, is thrown into chaos when a callow gang of four enters with a duffel bag of invaluable contents. After the gang’s attempt to deliver the contents to the powerful and shady Maslow is derailed when one of them murders a cop inside the diner, suspicions and revelations arise among the group. While the gang struggles to keep control over the situation as more the police arrive, they quickly realize this is the least of their problems when Maslow comes to claim the contents of the bag.
What would you do if you had one year to change your life…for $1 per month? ’12 Months’ is a documentary about a Los Angeles man who rents his three-bedroom home for $1 per month to help a family – he has never met – get on their feet. Told through the eyes of Felicia Dukes and her four children, the project puts a personal face on homelessness and encourages individuals to take personal responsibility for helping address societal concerns.
Marvin Fields is caught up with challenges and obstacles. On the verge of losing his family, he has to step up and face his adversaries. Marvin tries different avenues to help eliminate these difficulties, but his efforts are futile. Now, he decides to take desperate measures in saving his family and finances. When hell breaks loose and nothing seems to work, a true character is revealed through Marvin. Later on, Marvin discovers martial arts through his best friend Frank Biggs. This martial art will help Marvin find himself again and give him a sense of purpose. As he continues to search deeper his new found art, his troubles aren’t stagnant. Marvin still has to wake up and face the demons of his life. Marvin has got to get his life out of this never diminishing cage and find freedom. In the meantime, Claire Fields (Marvin’s wife) is fed up and tired of supporting the family. Marvin’s cage seems invisible to Claire, and this continues to trigger his frustration. In the end, true love and friendship will be revealed and seem to help break down the barriers around this mysterious cage.
